The Trio (repertoire and program example download)
Irina Shilina (dulcimer),
Piotr Techmanski (clarinet / saxophone) and
Hans Josef Winkler
(composition / piano) are from three different countries and they have
met in Detmold. The trio's many years of experience of the artists
connects with the goal to make the audience familiar with various
facets of different music. Here you can listen to different
combinations of instrumental ensembles (duo cymbal - piano, duo
clarinet (saxophone) - piano, duo cymbal - clarinet), which underlines
the flexibility and versatility of the performers. Their wide
repertoire includes tangos, transcriptions of romantic works, unknown
classical music and original works by Hans Josef Winkler. Due to the
unusual instrumentation, the trio is dependent on their own
arrangements and transcriptions, which gives the sound a distinctive
flavor. The cymbal gives the ensemble an accent. With its millennia old
history as an instrument of the origins capable of links to numerous
musical cultures on a global scale. It is also an interesting sonic
symbiosis in combination with other instruments and ensembles. In the
summer of 2011, the trio has recorded his first CD.
